Case 11
You receive a phone call from a patient 5 days after
uncomplicated cataract surgery. The patient indicates that his
vision has worsened since the initial post-operative day 1
appointment. The patient also indicates that the eye has become more
red and that he is starting to have some light sensitivity and an
aching ocular pain.
Case 12
A 28 year-old female, non-contact lens wearer, presents with
a 2-day history of a red, irritated right eye with FB sensation,
photophobia and tearing. The patient’s visual acuity was 20/60 OD
and 20/20 OS.
Case 13
A 24 year-old soft contact lens wearer with 2-day history of
a red, irritated eye with increasing pain, photophobia, and blurred
vision.
Case 14
A 44 year-old African American male presents with a very
painful red eye for the past 24 hours
Case 15
A 62 year-old white male presents with the complaint of
gradually decreasing visual acuity in both eyes
Case 16
A 70 year-old female referred for cataract evaluation.
Complains of gradual overall decrease in vision OD>OS over last 2
years. Vision is worst in the morning.
Case 17
The patient is referred with a slowly (1 year) progressive
growth inferotemporally in the left eye. There is no pain and no
change in vision.
Case 18
A 43 year-old presbyopic male presents to clinic with
complaints of double vision and intermittent headache while reading
using his corrective bifocal lenses
Case 19
A 35 year-old male presents to your office with complaints of
glare and shadows, especially in low light. The patient explains he
had LASIK OU 1 year ago with no complications.
Case 20
A 5 year-old girl presents with complaints of “double-vision”
when she looks up. She says her vision is good.
Case 21
A 12 year-old girl presents for evaluation at the request of
her pediatrician. She says her eye has always looked like this.
Case 22
A 7 month-old boy is brought to your office because his
mother said his eyes looked “funny” in a picture.
Case 23
A 13 year-old girl presents with complaints of
“double-vision” which began last week. Started as occasional double
vision and has progressed to nearly constant. Never had a
problem like this before. She says her vision is good.
